We manufacture bearing systems that are most critical and
essential component of high spindle design. The spindle gives high
rotational speed, transmits torque and power to cutting tool etc. The
bearings used in this spindle must comply with these demands. Wide array of
precision bearings are available in which balls roll between the inner and
outer steel raceway.
Types of high speed spindle bearings:
- These bearings are the most common bearings that are used in
very high speed spindle designs. These angular contact ball bearings
are also known as ball bearings. They give precision, and load
carrying capacity , both axial and radial carrying capacity .They
also give speed required for metal cutting spindle.
- These roller bearings are also called cylindrical bearings. They
provide higher load carrying capacity. They are stiffer than the
angular contact ball bearing. They find application in spindle with
specific requirement s and application
- Tapered roller bearing : These bearings have high load bearing
capacity and greater stiffness that other ball bearings but are
disadvantageous as the do not allow high speed that may be required
by many spindles.

Characteristics of spindle bearing
- Axial load supported in one direction only.
- Necessary of adjustment against second bearing.
- Compared to deep groove ball bearing, spindle bearing have
extended ball complement.
- High rigidity & loading capacity.

Bearing Construction: Hybrid ceramic
Ball bearing functions to minimize vibration, maintain temperature and
increase lifecyle of the spindle. The efficiency of the ball bearing is
dependent on raw material used. The most popular ball bearing are hybrid
ceramic as they offer distinct advantages over typical steel ball bearing.
Some of the advantages are:
Less mass: The hybrid ceramic balls have 60% less mass than steel
balls. The less mass is important because as ball bearing operate,
centrifugal forces push balls to outer race. Hence they deform the shape of
ball which leads to rapid wear and bearing deterioration. Another advantage
of low mass is that the ceramic balls will not be affected even at same
speed. Moreover, the use of ceramic balls enhances the speed up-to 30% for
given ball bearing. size, without sacrificing any bearing life.
Elimination of cold welding: Ceramic ball eliminate a major cause of
bearing failure. They do not react with steel race ways, which eliminate
this failure and hence have a longer bearing life.
Operate at lower temperatures: The ceramic balls have a perfect
round shape and hence the ceramic bearings can operate at low temperatures
when compared to steel steel ball bearing. Thus resulting in longer life for
bearing lubricant.
Lower vibration levels: The ceramic bearing spindles have higher
rigidity &and natural frequencies, which makes them less sensitive to
vibration.
Lubrication of bearings
For proper functioning of spindle, proper lubrication of bearing is
essential. Hence machine tool manufacturers use several systems like
oil-mist-oil-air, oil-jet, pulsed oil, air etc. The lubrication becomes
necessary if the bearing speed of the spindle is more than 18,000rpm. The
lubrication must be carefully done so that a monitored ratio of oil and
air/mist is used. Permanent lubricated bearing is the best option to keep
the maintenance cost lower. Lubrication is helpful as it helps to form
microscopic film between rolling element and prevents skidding &
abrasion. Besides the lubrication in spindles also protects the surfaces
from corrosion & protects area from particle contamination.
We specialize in manufacturing high quality adapters that
are widely used for installation of bearings with tapered bore on
cylindrical shafts. Withdrawal sleeves can also be used to install and
disassemble bearings with tapered bore onto and off cylindrical shafts. In
the process of dissembling bearings with the tapered bore onto and off
cylindrical shafts. The nut is pressed down against the edge of the inner
ring utilizing the bolt provided on the withdrawal sleeve and then the
sleeve is drawn away from the bearings inner diameter surface (Precision of
adapter and withdrawal sleeve are stipulated JIS B 1552 and JIS B 1556).

Bearings with a bore diameter of 200 mm or more, high pressure type adapters
and withdrawal sleeves are used to make the installation easier. The oil
supply inlet is attached in the nut side of the adapter and the
supplementary suffix HF is attached to the bearing number. The hydraulic
sleeve nut is fitted with holes for bolts and is used for mounting or
dismounting in hydraulic piping. The suffix SP or SPB is added to the
bearing number.
