One Direction Locating Bearings
We offer one direction bearings that have separable outer or inner rings.
The single flange of the separable ring prevents the bearing shaft from
going in one direction. The double flanged race is guided by the roller
guidance. They have a slightly lower limiting speed caused by the flange.
Two Direction Locating Bearings:
We manufacture two direction locating bearings that have a two piece inner
ring or are self contained. These cylindrical bearings have a lower roller
capacity but a high load capacity. They are rather complex bearings.
Full Compliment Bearings:
Full-complement Bearings use two snap rings in the non locating race to
retain the rollers. These cylindrical bearings have high load capacity but
low speed which is a result of the high rubbing velocity between adjacent
rollers. This limits the bearings to low speed or oscillatory applications.
Physical Characteristics
A cylindrical shape would add to the stress concentrations at the end of
the roller-race contact which results in high wear and high sensitivity to
misalignment .Henceforth, they are usually crowned or end relieved.
